Narayan - Nagini Temple
The temple has been built in the traditional Tibetan Pagoda styled architecture and carries its roots back to the era of Mahabharat.
It is said that the Pandavas used to worship the deity during their exile. The temple is situated near the Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar Monastery and has beautiful wooden carved interiors & exteriors. It has spacious courtyard that provides ample space to click beautiful pictures with the picturesque snow-capped mountain ranges in the backdrop.
Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar Monastery
The monastery is situated in the heart of Kalpa and was founded by Rinchensang-po about a 1000 years ago.
Rinchensang-po is the famous Buddhist monk who had translated the Buddhist Sanskrit to Tibetan during the second diffusion of Buddhism in Tibet. The monastery boasts of many captivating wall paintings and the daily Buddhist chants take you into a state of mystical calmness at this enchanting monastery.
Rolla Cliff
The Rolla Cliff also known as the Suicide Point is a thrilling attraction that boats of a dangerous trench and vertical slope.
It is located on the Kalpa – Roghi Road and is just 2 kms away from the hotel. The place is famous for the thrilling trench, cold winds and the enchanting environment. It is a major attraction where a lot of tourists come to click some amazing pictures but be cautious and don’t go too close to the edge.
Chaka Meadows
The Chaka meadows are beautiful mountain meadows situated high above the village Kalpa at an altitude of 3800 metres.
The trail towards Chaka starts from the village Chini which is situated at an altitude of 2960m. The trek requires no prior trekking experience during the summers, autumn and spring. However, it becomes quite challenging in the winters and proper trekking gear is required with a decent amount of clothing.
Kashang Valley
The Kashang valley falls under the Lippa Asrang Wildlife Sanctuary and is home to the highest Lord Krishna Temple.
The temple is situated in the middle of a lake at a place called Yulla Kanda and can be accessed after an arduous trek through the Kashang Pass (4800 m). The valley is home to the Himalayan Brown Bear and indigenous Snow Leopard. The entire valley is also rich in floral diversity and will surly capture your soul.
Roghi Village
The Roghi village is a beautiful hamlet situated on the slope of a mountain and is surrounded with apple, apricot & chilgoza trees.
This village has been blessed with so many nautral wonders and is also the abode of freindly villagers who love to greet you and escort you to the major landmarks around including some local temples, monasteries, and Kinnauri style buildings, etc. However the road to Roghi is not for the faint-hearted and requires an experienced driver.
Kinner Kailash
According to the Hindu mythology, the Kinner Kailash peak serves as an abode to Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati.
The Kinner Kailash Peak is among the five Kailash and the trek to the peak is undertaken by a lot of devotees every year. The trek in itself is quite challenging and is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, you can seek the blessings of Lord Shiva directly from the balcony or window of your room as our hotel offers a clear view of the peak.
Kothi
Kothi is another ancient village which is also known as Koshtampi and serves as a religious reverence.
The village is surrounded by fields, apple orchards and small vineyards. Kothi is home to the famous Goddess Shuwang Chandika Temple who is considered the eldest Goddess and the temple of the Hindu God Bhairon Baba. The village sees a lot of tourists from across the country who come to seek the blessings from the divine.
Bhaba Valley
The Bhabha valley also referred as Wangpo in the local Kinnauri dialect is one of the most beautiful valley in Himachal.
The valley is situated around the Bhaba river, which originates near the Bhaba Pass. The Wangtu bridge is the gateway to the valley. The Bhaba valley is famous as it acts as a major base for trekkers from across the globe who love to trek from the Bhaba valley in Kinnaur to the Pin valley in Spiti. The entire valley is rich in flaura & fauna.
Chitkul
Chitkul is the last inhabited village on the old Indo-Tibet border that can be accessed by all without the need of a permit.
The village boasts of a beautiful landscape that is ornamented with exquisite meadows, a babbling river, and glorious mountains. The major attractions are the Chitkul Fort and the Mathi Temple. You will surely fall in love with the pollution-free atmosphere and would love spending time near the banks of the river.
Nako Lake
The Nako lake is situated at an altitude of 3662 m in the Hangrang Valley of Kinnaur and is considered pious by the local villagers.
It is said that Guru Padmasambhava meditated around the lake and his footprints are still present on a rock near the lake. The lake is surrounded by four Buddhist temples and willow & poplar trees. You should take a short trek to Chorten to have a bird’s eye view of the lake, the village and the mountains beyond.
